Professional Background—
A US citizen,
editor,
award-winning
writer /
photographer, and provider of
strategic communications, in 2009 Lowell Bennett concluded a
4.5-year
editorial consulting contract with the largest publishing
house in China. Pursuant the terms of that extended
assignment, he was
government-credentialed as a "Foreign Expert."
While continuing with his
international freelance business, in his role as a media
professional in China he traveled extensively
in the course of press delegation tours to numerous
provinces, cities, towns and villages. Those missions
were about central-to-provincial government PR, as well as generating
press coverage for administrative regions and varying commercial
concerns.
Bennett also carried out many assignments more directly involved
in
official PR, including generating
diplomatic-style communications for top-tier publishing
house executives in communicating with the Thai Consulate and
a member of Thailand's Royal Family. Specifically, this was
in respect to the
Princess of Thailand and a publishing venture – a bilateral
goodwill effort.
